An cool little concept I've been working on for a few days.
If it were real, it would be a STOL stealth fighter for the US Navy. Tell me what you think!
ag 1 for landing lights
trim down for extra lift when landing/taking off
ag 2 for afterburners
ag 3 and vtol up to open missile bays
ag 4 for smoke trail
Hope you enjoy!

@KCferrari exactly! I'm going to have to research about it controlling drones, that sounds amazing...
@BogdanX good night
@Johndfg Totally agree. The F-35 is meant to be a pure multirole jet, unlike the F-22 which was built mainly for air superiority. It's like saying the A-10 handles bad and can't win a dogfight... obviously. The F-35 focuses on nothing, but can handle any odd job. It would be pointless to simply have a second super maneuverable fighter alongside the F-22, as that would be redundant. It's rather for utility and technological warfare - What other plane can command drones? What other plane can land at a heliport? Though it's complicated and likely difficult to maintain, VTOL development could prove to be invaluable. As for the pilot.. Flying an F-35 is incredibly simple. The ease of a VTOL landing is astonishing with the tech in that thing.
@BogdanX I guess, but the f-35 won't be dogfighting f-16s (or in general) since that isn't its role. I'm not an expert on aircraft maintenance, so you may be right about that. Honestly I'm not sold on the VTOL idea either, but Lockheed and the usaf are not stupid enough to invest billions on technology that is worthless, so I'm sure there is a reason. I guess we'll find out though. I am biased though, especially since I plan to fly in the USAF in a few years, and if I do there is a good chance I'll fly an f-35.
@BogdanX currently, as ACTUAL reports are coming out about the f-35 (and not the exaggerations from the media to get more views) it seems as if the f-35 will be one of the greatest fighter aircraft of all time, with a steadily decreasing price tag as well. Even the news sources trash talking it are optimistic at this point. I'm not sure what problems the plane actually has at this point, besides the normal amount of hiccups every new plane suffers.
(THE F-35 isn't designed to dogfight. It's stealth and weapon capabilities are so advanced it will never be a problem)

@BogdanX thanks dude, I appreciate it!
(Never say that about my bae f-35 ever again)
Look at my c-130 progress if you whant @Johndfg
Looking good
@KCferrari @EternalDarkness I'm not angry either, I'm just stating that I used my building technique to build my plane, not someone else's
@EternalDarkness @Johndfg No one's angry, and you don't need to get defensive. If anything, I'd be quite humbled if such a popular builder took inspiration, which is why I asked.
@Johndfg @KCferrari guys, calm down. Let's just say that good builders think alike, at least when it comes to finding the best way to build the same kind of thing.
@KCferrari I know for a fact I didn't use your plane as a reference for this
@Johndfg Nah, I know you had done the converging pieces like this on the nose long ago, its just that this uses the specific format of the large 45 degree piece underneath with 2 slanted sides that allow room for a cockpit between, and a curved top to fill it out. It's the very specific format that surprised me.
@KCferrari I don't think its your style, I've made many planes with that style before you made that plane.
I would like to make a battle damaged version, i will credit you for the base aircraft
Very cool, its like a twin engine f-35 with a V tail. Also is that my ASF-X nose construction style i see? :P
Look at my c-130 progress:) @Johndfg
Great job as always, John
Awesome looking! You should start working on functional cockpits on your builds; that'd make them cooler!
@Johndfg k
@Johndfg
Yeah but im to lazy to copy it
@SimpleFlow I updated the description with a mobile link
Oh yay finally a build that i can download because the part count isn't huge... oh wait ther is a mod and i am on ios>:/
Np! @Johndfg
@TTHHSSSS Thanks!
