P-38 Lighting
The P-38 fighter is a single seat, double engine and flat wing layout, with many excellent characteristics, high speed, heavy armor and powerful firepower. It is also the only fighter that can compete with the Japanese Zero fighter in the early Pacific War. It is the model that shot down the most Japanese fighters among the fighters of the US land airlines[ 2]The P-38 fighter was developed by Lockheed in 1936 and designed by legendary Kelly Johnson. It is the first military aircraft developed by the company. On June 23, 1937, the U.S. Army adopted the design of Lockheed. In January 1939, the xp-38 prototype was delivered for use.
