Regarding Cross International Airlines Flight 863: On September 8, 1970, a Douglas DC-8-63CF passenger plane, operating Cross International Airlines, took off from Kennedy Airport in New York. There was a sharp asphalt covering object between the right elevator leading edge and the right horizontal tail belly inspection door, which caught the elevator stabilizer and caused the crew to lose control of the aircraft's pitch. The plane crashed to the ground, All 11 crew members on board died
