Hmm, all of our CAS and Attack Craft are normally under the Army's command . . . with the exception of any naval aircraft and strike/bomber craft. @Pilotmario
@PINK Pure observation and light cargo.
The Paternian Air Force is in command of all armed aircraft and strategic air transport. It was decided that the Army could operate unarmed aircraft for tactical transportation and observation duties in 1947.
Later, with the adoption of helicopters, it was decided that an exception be made for rotary-winged aircraft (i.e. helicopters), and the Army can operate armed helicopters, which they still do to this day. In addition, with bureaucratic differences between the tactical and strategic transportation making it difficult to work together, it was decided to move tactical air transport to the Air Force.
So Agressive-Observation? @Pilotmario
@PINK Not really.
It is Army policy to not put "armed" and "fixed-wing aircraft" in the same sentence, because if they do that, the Air Force throws a big fit.
Actually, you could go the OV-10D meathod . . . and arm it very lightly. @Pilotmario
@PINK I think we will adopt it as an unarmed observation aircraft, as we have plenty of attack aircraft in our arsenal (A-1K Super Pummeler, A-2E Boar, A-8A Hawk II).
@PINK I see.
@Pilotmario We have just made a few changes to this design . . . it will be a few hours before I upload it yet.
@Pilotmario Also, you can adopt it if you want . . .
@Pilotmario Lemme check this out . . .
