KSS Erwin Coalston III (CV-20) is a conventional powered aircraft carrier built by the Royal Equestrian Navy, and currently in service for the Royal Sovereign Navy. She is the lead ship of the Erwin Coalston III Class aircraft carriers which composed her and her sister ship, KSS Herald von Verteidiger. She was the Flagship of the former Royal Equestrian Navy.

After she was launched and commissioned in 2093, She surpassed the current aircraft carriers in size present in the navies of Republic of Crafitanya, North Desertants, South Grim and ultimately, The carriers of the United States. She was the most biggest conventionally powered aircraft carrier ever built.

Development

Due to the Non-Intervention Policies conducted by the politicians and monarchs of the Kingdom of Equestria, their military became prominent to develop weapons based on defense and small offensive capabilities. This however change in 2040 where the King,Freiheit I, ordered to make all their military arsenal an all-around force which capable of both offense and defense. This affected the Navy and quickly ordered a replacement or re-modernization of the existing ships. Fast forward to 2070, The Marineorden von 2070 was executed and ships were ordered to be replaced. Among the ordered ships were Aircraft Carriers which were not in the mind of Monarchs due to the power Aircrafts Carriers hold. Debated many times, it was decided to build two of them.

Aircraft Carriers begun to pop out in the 1920s as part of Major Power's Navies' experiments on Naval Aviation. By the time of World War 2, The Aircraft Carriers begin to shape the modern Naval Warfare and thus today became the Flagship of the Navies who possess them. During the Cold War towards the present day, Aircraft Carriers became the symbol of national might and political power.

The Role of Aircraft Carriers in Great Country doesn't differ from the Seven Continents. Only handful of Nations possess them due to their offensive capabilities and operating cost. Although smaller navies operates them, they weren't as big as the "Supercarriers" being built by the Major Nations of Great Country, the average size of smaller navies' aircraft carriers are the size of Fleet Carriers of WW2.
