WAC Dugite
Wintermob Air Co presents the 15A-Dugite.
Built as a multi-role fighter/bomber under contract for the Australian Airforce, this aircraft should be capable of matching most *current jet fighters available today.
With wing stores easily configurable via the locating tracks, the Dugite can carry even the largest fighter carried weapons with ease.
Armament for this version consists of:
6 Interceptor missiles
4 Guardian missiles
the ever present mini-gun.
Additionally, we have provided a large calibre cannon. Due to the nature of this weapon, it has a very limited amount of ammunition, only 20 rounds.
NOTE: This is a "What If" build.
In this case it is a 'what if Australia designed and built it's own jet from the ground up?'
The aircraft is named after one of the most dangerous snakes in Australia, the Dugite (sometimes known as the Spotted Brown Snake)
In this case it turned good enough to have it 'made' by my fictional aircraft company, Wintermob Air Co.
Controls as per normal.
- This aircraft does pretty well in 'dogfight' mode vs the other 'replica' fighters I have downloaded. PC vs PC that is.
This includes the F-15C and the SU-27 Flanker (with Russian missiles swapped out for standard missiles).
I guess it would be maybe a gen 3 or 4 aircraft.

It took me ages to think of a name for this Aussie fighter.
I was going to call it 'Drop Bear' and load it up with air to ground instead of air to air stuff, but a lot of non-Aussies would not get the joke.
So I went with the name of a deadly Australian snake instead, the Dugite.
Apparently out of the 11 top most venomous snakes, Australia has FIVE of them, with the Dugite being number 3 on the list (wikipedia).
Come to Australia and meet the sheep. They are not dangerous. Promise!
