ThunderHawk flying camaro

Auto Credit Based on Thunderhawk's Gen 3 Camaro

There is some cartoon that I have never watched that happens to have a flying 80s camaro in it that shares the name of my account lol

Car Controls: Pitch and Yaw
Plane Controls: Standard VTOL

AG8: on/off for car engine (turn off during flight)
AG1: Gyro* (optional)
AG2: Headlights

It is easiest to takeoff by going full throttle and sliding VTOL up at medium speed. You can also drive forward with the wings extended, turn off AG8, and then take off like a normal plane.

Land like a plane or use the gyro to land straight down.

*The gyro is not necessary for flight, it will just help you if you lose control or if you want to vertical land.

TIPS
-When flying at slow speed <200mph~, you may want to move the vtol down to about +90%. You can also bring the vtol to about +50% to gain extra lift if you need to pull up quickly.

-The wingtips flex a bit and mess with the aerodynamics sometimes, you can use trim to correct it or just ignore, since it is marginal.

-You can slide vtol up and down to flap the wings and it looks funny.

-Don’t try to extend the wings too fast while driving.

@Kerbango cool I’ll look for it

As for the gyro. That’s interesting, I did not know about that feature. I want to keep them separate because I only have the gyro for last resort emergency use. But I’ll totally use that Negative AG number trick in the future

Keep an eye out for my next build, tomorrow. Similar concept, without the cool camaro-ness.

FYI You can set a car engine input to be -Activate1 while having the flight engines/gyro turn on with Activate1. use overload, and you can also set it to zeroOnDeactivate = true.
