Why fly with propellers if you can fly faster with jet engines? With the invention of the jet engine, planes can now fly faster and farther than most propeller planes. Jets can also fly above bad weather and provide smooth flights for air travelers. Therefore, we don't need propeller planes anymore, except for propeller planes that can fly at jet plane speeds.
