[Cannon Turret Auto-Aim] - Phalanx CWIS - Block 1B
Overview:
FULL Documentation can be found here.
Decided to upload the new ballistic solver I announced a month ago. This CWIS is based off the original by @SimpleFlow, link here, only slight modifications were made.
In essence, previous auto-aims turrets were not able to account for gravity/acceleration and thus where inaccurate for cannons (the main roadblock was solving the quartic equation). This algorithm solves the equation and thus can accurately target and predict the targets path based not only on its velocity but also its acceleration. This CWIS uses the cannon part to demonstrate this algorithm and can pretty accurately hit crafts given the very small projectile size and unmodified explosionScalar.
Effective range (0.5 - 5 mi).
Video:
Same algorithm, just on a different turret.
Not too bad...

Could you make a minigun version?

How did I miss this?
I'll test it with different muzzle velocities, from 600 to 2000 m/s...
Unfortunately most auto-aims doesn't work with AI because the AI won't fire the cannons unless the target is in front of the cockpit. @UmbrellaCorporation
