Sopwith Beagle
The Sopwith Beagle
(Fictional)
History
The Sopwith Beagle was, by all accounts, a solid aircraft. Produced from 1915 until 1919, the Beagle saw use in many roles. The most prominent of these roles was, of course, as a fighter.
Used in smaller numbers relative to the Sopwith Camel, the Beagle was a moderately successful fighter. However, a tendency to roll to far in the direction of a turn when pulling back on the control column led to many accidents both in training and combat. This, paired with large amounts of other Sopwiths, Spads, and Nieuports available, led to limited service with the French and British Air Arms.
Aircraft and Flight Characteristics
Plane is shown with French markings on the wings and fuselage.
The plane also has a tendency to roll too far in one direction or another. An easy way to avoid this is to
a.) Use mouse as joystick
or
b.) Be careful when turning at high speeds
Controls
Activation Groups: None
When moving on ground, use yaw to turn. Never exceed ~10 mph. when aligning with runways and or turning.
Pull back on controls when rear wheel leaves runway surface and aircraft is perpendicular to the runway
itself.
When landing, reduce throttle to 20-30%, keep wings level, and touch down softly. Landing gear shocks will be able to sustain some harder than normal landings. If aircraft bounces, level out wings and try again or go around.
“It’s easier to go around and explain why you did rather than leave people wondering why you didn’t”. -Somebody in the YouTube comment section.

@FLOWRIDER0 ah ok
@ThePropellerIsAFan old sp meme
@FLOWRIDER0 I’m not quite sure what you mean by that. Thanks for the spotlight!
This plane is fake, biplanes dont exist
No problem! @ThePropellerIsAFan
@CRJ900Pilot thanks! I’m glad the landing gear works well.
Thank you! @KnightOfRen
This is really nice! @ThePropellerIsAFan
Great work! I love the balance between simplicity and looks. Landing gear is also very nice
@rexzion I don’t know what’s happening to your game. It works fine on my phone and laptop, both of which are on high physics. If you’re on a laptop, I’d suggest using your mouse as a joystick to avoid jerky control movements.
how the hell do you fly this thing??? I can't Pitch + Roll without it stalling
