During the rest of the war, Mikoyan and Gurevich continued to develop the MiG-3 which triggers the development of prototypes series of larger aircraft and more powerful, I-220 and I-225. There were several attempts to replace this aircraft engine with an engine originally designed for, the AM-37. This was designated the MiG-7, but stopped production. wikipedia
