During the Space Race russia created their own space shuttle that only flew a few automated flights in low Earth orbit. Like NASA's 747 the An-225 was used to carry the Buran orbiter. Press 1 to activate the orbiter engines and the Explosive bolts to laipuch it clear of the plane. Without the shuttle attatched the An-225 can pass Mach 1. Please rate or commoent if you liked this. I worked hard on this (for simpleplanes). Enjoy!

@SpartanAirplanes i tried it on my side and i asmit it is very very tricky.. First the instruments remains attached to main cockpit, second when using commands it affects both of the aircraft... To sum up it is quickly an unbelievable mess to keep both planes in the air... Funny experiment, i wonder how you will handle that.

@Ive been specifically experimenting with that actually. I tried landing the Antonov but due to the lack of a speed indicator I crashed it but I'm sure it is possible all I need to do is upload a version with the camera because pressing one turns off the Buran engines

@SpartanAirplanes Nice.. may i suggest some improvements.. Place a camera on the antonov, like this we could switch from one plane to the other and pilot them all. Maybe add action group controls on the engines of the buran, like this you could land the shuttle, then switch off its engines and then land the antonov.. This might be a tricky challenge

@Nick7777 Yes you can! It's a lot of fun to do you can take off from the south runway, fly to Jundroo AFB detach and the shuttle has engines of its own and can fly very stable and fly well
