Multirole Combat Aircraft originally meant to replace the 1500A and B variants which suffered from a small payload and inability to remain airborne long as a CAS platform. Mounting the Crinkston 50mm Autocannons later found on the 1500C and the TAV-ISV, it was the first vehicle to mount the weapon. While its original purpose was later fixed by the 1500C introduction, the 1650A remains a well liked and reliable platform for aircrews, and is fit to see service for years to come.
