Power for the Ta 283 is provided by two Pabst ramjets. It would have a rocket that would provide enough velocity to start the ramjet engines whichshouldn’t produce thrust at zero or low airspeed. The ramjets were located on the tips of the sharply swept tailplanes and would be used for cruising.
