The Ka 4 was a fighter aircraft of 1915 made by the German company Klensieg.
Although built in relatively small numbers the Ka 4 engraved its name in Aviation History by becoming the first aircraft to score an ariel kill for Bandit during the battle of the Isles.
Despite the orignal success the plane was very quickly made obselete especially compared to newer biplanes, it also had a notoriously unreliable engine that made the aircraft virtually uncontrollable, requiring the engine to be switched off. Turning under such conditions was exceedinly difficult because the Ka 4 still used wing warping instead of ailerons.
