Thor English: Torus) is an all-weather, medium-low-altitude, short-range surface-to-air missile system designed to destroy aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, drones and short-range ballistic threats (anti-ballistic missiles). This system was originally developed by the Soviet Union under the name of GRAU 9K330 Tor, and is usually known as its NATO report name SA-15 "Gauntlet". The navy variant was developed in the name of 3K95“Kinzhal ",also known as SA-N-9" Gauntlet ". Tor aims to shoot down guided weapons such as AGM-86 ALCM and BGM-34 day and night in bad weather and interference. Tor can detect targets while moving. Vehicles must stop intermittently when shooting, although tests have been conducted to eliminate this restriction.
