This aircraft was built by Ettore Bugatti a Italian born-French automoblie designer, with help from his chief engineer Louis de Monge the French goverment approached him to make a mass production fighter based on his experience with the racing aircraft, the aircraft was the first user of the inline prop engine, V tail mixer controls, and and the automatic flap system, but all throughout WWII the Bugatti 100 remained in storage and was eventually restored in its country of creation
