This could possibly be the most historic plane ever created. The Spirit of St. Louis was a hand-built, single seat airplane. The historic part happened when Charles Lindbergh had flown it over the Atlantic Ocean with no stops. Flight was from Long Island, New York to Paris France, which there he won $25,000 for completing the journey.
