I wondered if a cannon could be built to have noticeable recoil as seen with howitzers, tank guns, etc., so I built something that kinda works like that. Not really useful on it's own, and it's been done before in better ways, but I wanted to test the idea in my own way for the fun of it. VTOL is to be tilted up at max power to keep platform stable.
