Description
The X-33 "Howler" is a fictional lighweight, single-engine, double-delta canard, supersonic strike-aircraft. It is based off the F-16 for it's main fuselage, and the X-31 for it's double-delta wing.
Design
NASA's take on the F-16XL proves that delta or double-delta wing configuration can make it more efficient and stable for flight, but at the cost of reduced mobility. The X-33 incorporates canards on the leading-edge extensions for added maneuverability and stability. However, it is still not as agile and maneuverable of that the comparable aircrafts, like the Rafale, Typhoon, or Mirage series.
Controls
- Roll, Pitch, Yaw = Normal.
- VTOL = Control the canards.
- Trim = Trim the elevators.
- Activation Groups = Nothing.
- Brake = 2 large airbrakes.

@Mustang51 I'm glad you liked it. ^^
@JetFighter the whole time while flying it I kept looking at the inlet. It looks so good! The width and shape are perfect
@Mustang51 Yes it does. My mind wants to gather the Gripen, Rafale, F-16XL, and X-31 altogether. And here i have it. To be honest, the entire plane was created after the intake tube. This is because i want to try creating planes with full length intake tubes, and this plane is a test for that.
Whoa this is awesome! It looks like an F-16 mixed with a Gripen a bit
