About:
The VMS Chemnitz is a tram/train manafactured by Vossloh and used in the German city of Chemnitz. They can use overhead power on electrified tram lines in the city centre and then switch to diesel engines while traveling on local, non electrified train lines. They were trialed in September 2015 and entered service in January 2016.
