Auto Credit Based on skimbo's Lockesley Kestrel Fighter Mk.2

A Trainer/Light Fighter/Scout Plane Produced from 1938-1947. The DF-2 May lack firepower but what it does have is maneuverability. Only weighing a couple thousand lbs it is "lighter than air". It saw minor use in WW2 in occupied france, where allies Would scout the area for vehicles and fortifications. It did get a total of 4 air-air kills and only 2 air-ground kills, but It's main purpose was scouting after all. With its small size and quiet engine it was mostly used at night, to avoid being spotted by german aircraft of flak. It saw extensive use in pilot training in: USA, UK, France, and Australia. It gained the nickname "Firefly" from its crews, most say it was given such due to its light weight and small size and most importantly the dihedral swept wings. It only arms 6 12.7mm Machine guns and 2 BV-155 155lb rockets. With only one crew, being the pilot, it was harder to instruct the training pilot with further instructions, so a radio was fitted in all models after 1941. With over 1700 units built, there are still approximately 27 intact, and only 5 are known to be able to fly. Phew, what a mouthful, I think that's enough Lore kewk, out -MenstonianCz
