Review of the new design: Personally I like the Ryan Church design from 2009, the large nacelles keeps it's presence there. The hood-like hulls on the nacelles are a nice addition that keeps it apart from the original enterprise. The nacelles on the new enterprise look basic, they don't have much of an intriguing shape or design. The neck, secondary hull and the saucer are basically the same thing, so nothing wrong to say there.

@newclear Sure, go ahead.
If I also build onto it and change it
Hey bacon I was wondering if I can use the front of the enterprise as a title for a challenge I want to do (I’ll credit you in the description)
Oh
@BloodStorm Not doing trek builds anymore.
maybe try making the voyager?
@ZephyrSystems Question, original or refit constitution?
@ams2005 No.. Who would even ask?
Can me and you use the same profile picture
@BaconEggs
@ams2005 ehh. what?
@BaconEggs can me and you share profile pics since my uncle has a corgi pls
@Johawks1976 Also on off topic news, I started a Google Classroom class called "Simpleplanes Academy". I don't know if I'd be using it or not, it's more for experimental causes, but I may make it public to the community.
can't wait!
@Johawks1976 probs 2 weeks, if lucky, one!
@BaconEggs Perfect! how long till the upload
@Johawks1976 Doing pretty good, I have the engineering nacelle and the outline of the saucer down. The unscaled version is so big I had to scale it down! It should turn out to be 1,000ft in length. No screenies yet, I'll get those later on.
hows the USS vengeance coming along, any screenshots?
@PINK Being honest, the excelsior looks like captain underpants got a jetpack
@Johawks1976 Haha! That's a knee slapper, I would take some pride in that if I were you
@BaconEggs cool! I've had 3 vacation days this week (out-of-school-suspension) for beating a guy up with a stick
@ZephyrSystems Yeah the galaxy class is nice, so is the sovereign
@BaconEggs I like the Excelsior . . . it is actually my favorite Enterprise.
@ZephyrSystems @PINK It's kind of unfortunate, the first enterprise I saw in a movie was the Church '09 design. I was never shown any original star trek movies in full. The one thing I remember was the Enterprise D crash, but that's about it. More simply, from an outsiders' prospective that have only seen the reboots, they would like the enterprise design, and then look at the original one, and think they look bland. There are, of course some designs from TOS that look ugly. For example, the enterprise B, or the excelsior class. I like the Church '09 enterprise because it has a smooth and detailed shape while maintaining it's similarities from the Jeffries '66 design.
@Johawks1976 I just started last night, should be out with the F-15 next week
