Province-Class cruiser
A class of cruisers operated by the Pilotmario Navy, made of three ships: the PMN Royal Love, the PMN Barracuda Island, and the PMN Paternia. They were designed as super-cruisers; designed to outgun smaller Olympian Navy cruisers but outmaneuver the Olympian Navy battleships. To this end, it is armed with six 152mm coilguns capable of firing 20 shots a minute each, giving the ship a broadside of 120 projectiles a minute. This is achieved via autoloader. The projectiles are capable of hitting targets 80 miles away, allowing the ship to fire a stream of high-velocity projectiles at range. For close-range defenses, four 127mm coilguns are present across the ship in four turrets. These guns fire at a rate of 24 rounds per minute each, and can fire a variety of ammunition, from AP, HE, beehive, etc. They have a maximum range of 24 miles.
For long-range strike, it has four rotary Striker cruise missile launchers, with 28 missiles in a ready position, and 102 in reserve. The fleet is planning to adopt a laser-defense system in the near future. Due to advances in technology, these ships all have a crew of 210 men and 30 officers, the same as an Ardent-class frigate. They represent a new breed of ships, capable of handling modern threats with ease.

Why the three-turret batteries though?
@TheOwlAce Of course, you can support either side. I don't mind who. After all, every hero needs a villain. Who's the hero and who's the villain is up to you.
@Pilotmario Then that is up to you.
@TheOwlAce We have encountered another nation, the Teutonic Empire. Apparently, the Olympians have encountered them before, and now they want war with us.
@DragonAerotech o i mean it, Im itching for another conflict and since you have your nation made out already it makes it perfect.
@Pilotmario Ah that's true. My "corvette" as I've been calling it is about 15 parts across and I have a 2.5 thick "bilge layer" under the hull parts. All my fuel and balast runs down the centerline of the ship, with balast added all down the centerline of the bilge layer making her stable in practically any turn. That'd be tough to do on this build. I -really- need to get over my fear of XML modding.
@TheOwlAce Nah that's alright. I created quite a broad worldview around the materials I had built, but with the ending of the first war you didn't take into account any of the dialog I tried to include with foreign emmissaries, government structure I mentioned, etc. lol It's okay, it was your' story to start off with. It was presumptuous of me to build onto the story line as much as I did. My past as a game master in table top gaming and freelance writer for Palladium Books' materials got the better of me. XD I'll finish this ship and eventually upload those last two aircraft from my side of the story but that's as far as I'll go.
@DragonAerotech well, we could have a second war.
I could, but she won't be a stable ship. If I were to do that, a significant amount of ballast would be needed to make it work. @DragonAerotech
@Pilotmario Ahh okay so you can't just add the bouyancy to
XML modded hull parts? I'm still mid-build on my first ship but I don't do any of my own XML modding so she's kinda lagzilla. lol I "borrow" components from all over the place that others XML mod but I try to credit those I do borrow from. The next ship will be larger than the one I'm building now but I'm hoping the XML components I've stocked will allow for its size without as much lag as this first one.
I started building for @TheOwlAce 's story line, taking it upon myself to challenge him as "the enemy." Soon after I told him I'd be introducing my builds for the enemy's real strength rather than the half-baked stuff they'd thrown at his Germania though (Stuff that he had built to serve as "the enemy.") he ended his story line. -_-; lol All the builds with the scarlet crown markings were supposed to be for that story. I did a couple of rebuilds of Germanian works as well to give them a bit more of a shine. Others are just random builds or builds from that RIFTS setting.
@DragonAerotech Actually, it's my laziness to make new hull components which I need to XML mod in order to make it float. It was very difficult to give this ship the shape it has already.
@Pilotmario Um ... is it supposed to sink on water? ;) It was the lag from its size that made you refrain from giving it bouyancy? Heck, I'm on a $300 refurbished Walmart HP laptop and it didn't lag an iota. XD Nonethe less I like the ideas behind its story line armament and that you soldiered on to create something of this size and detail on a struggling system. ^_^
@Pilotmario Neither is my macbook air from 2012.
@ShatterFox My computer is not a dedicated gaming device. It's a standard computer that just so happens to have Nvidia graphics cards and a 2-core i7. I could make it operational though. That will come later.
@Pilotmario If you're on windows It shouldn't lag, It's not even 200 parts, and teh turrets dun work either! At least my navy has a "Functional" ship, just add rotors and a slow reloading gun!
Its laggy the way it is now. @ShatterFox
IT DUN FLOAT! Y?
@Pilotmario I totally believe It can fire 240 rpm EACH, if it were divided that'd be more believable.
@ShatterFox It's a 5-inch coilgun.
@Pilotmario firing what projectiles?
If its a 1 inch gun thats fine xD
@ShatterFox It's an automatic loader.
240 RPM, what you mean like 10 mm bullets? that makes sense.
@Pilotmario Alrighty then I'ma make FUNCTIONAL cruiser :P
It looks nice!! Hope those Laser defense systems get installed soon!
NOTE: none of the weapons are operational. This is a static model. Because it was laggy when building it.
