Yes this is a real concept by Westland in 1952
The Westland W.90 Goliath
This looks like something Messerschmitt will make, but it is Bri'ish
So the UK needs a new way to drop troops on the battlefield where there is no runway to land. Air-dropping troops are too risky and dangerous and this concept was born
Carrying capacity
-Troops Transport: Carry 450 Troops and other equipment
-General utility Transport: 6 Jeep, 220 Troops, 1 Truck or Tractor, and 6 Tons of Containers
-Tank Transport: 6 Tank around 3-15 Tons
-Artillery Transport: 6 Jeeps, 6-25 Guns, 600 Round of ammunition, 36 Gun Crew
Controls
-Up-Down: VTOL
-Cargo Door: AG 1
-Pitch and Roll are Normal
