The ADVERSARY 1 is a general purpose advanced fighter plane built by engineers formerly associated with the Archon Chancellery. Of course, all the actual modifications are the products of you wonderful folk here on SimplePlanes, for which I would like to thank the Usual Suspects--specifically Seme4ka, dfsjoe, and Spefyjerbf--as well as many others whose identity is not known to me but whose talents are greatly appreciated.

Background Story:
Around the beginning of the ninth cycle of the XIX Dynasty, the Archon Chancellery was involved with designing and building the high speed interceptor fighter that was to become the ENFIELD. There was a small but vocal faction within the Chancellery who asserted that it would be more efficient to design a single, all-around fighter frame that could then be easily adapted to whatever design specifics which any individual Client might require. The High Command remained unconvinced, but they did sanction a design competition between the team building the ENFIELD and those who wished to pursue the modifiable frame approach, a design that was given the provisional designated of EON ONE. Spurred on by this opportunity to prove their ideas, the dissident engineers set about their work. They decided to utilized a modified lifting body concept, including the standard CONSTELLATION integrated engine system, powered by the UMBRA dark energy reactor, along with an overall body shape very similar to that being employed on the ENFIELD. This saved much design time and gave the new plane virtually unlimited range together and VTOL capabilities.

The ADVERSARY 1 features several advanced weapons systems, including two high output BLOOD STAR dual energy cannons; two MAGNETAR Heavy Gauss Rifles that throw molten high-density slugs; twelve HOUNDSTOOTH air-to-air missiles along with four CLAW air-to-ground missiles; a pair of wingtip mounted weapons pods, each containing a STAR BURST and a STAR FIRE laser weapons system; and a nose mounted STAR BOLT wide beam laser cannon. One non-weapon feature the EON ONE also added was a pair of hyper-buoyant narrow cross-section pontoons, enabling the aircraft to operate as a fully functional seaplane.

In the end, however, the High Command chose the ENFIELD over the ADVERSARY 1 as the purpose designed plane better met the Client's needs...unsurprisingly. The dissidents remained adamant that the ADVERSARY 1 would appeal to a broader range of customers in the long run, perhaps even replacing many of the Chancellery's tried-and-true standard designs. The Chancellery, of course, disagreed. As a result the dissidents, who now referred to themselves as The Rebel Court, abandoned the Archon Chancellery's dimension altogether and set-up shop elsewhere in direct competition with their former overlords.

the ADVERSARY 1 is the Rebel Court's first offering.

Activation Groups:
1 - Engages the CONSTELLATION integrated engine system, which includes an enhanced gyro-stabilization unit (on whenever AG-1 is active), the QUANTUM DRIVE indirect thrust/boost engine (VTOL bar up), and the anti-gravity GRAVITON VTOL motor (VTOL bar down).
2 - Activates the BLOOD STAR high intensity dual laser cannons.
3 - Engages the MAGNETRON gauss rifles.
4 - Activates the HOUNDSTOOTH AA missile system (Guardian based x 12).
5 - Activates the CLAW AG missile system (Inferno based x 4).
6 - Activates the STAR FIRE dual beam laser cannons and the STAR BURST stern-chaser pulse cannons.
7 - Activates the nose mounted STAR BOLT wide beam laser cannon.
8 - disconnects the main UMBRA reactor, deactivating all active sensors (shown by extinguishing the various engine and running lights).
