X-524 Lightening
X-524 Lightening
High-speed, high-altitude research plane.
Top speed: 4200 mph (6750 km per hour) at 24,000 ft
AG4 - drag parachute
AG7 - canopy
The landing gear should be up to reduce the drag and gain speed.
VR, unarmed.
Landing
Keep the landing speed around 350 mph. Throttle zero and hold down to deploy the brake flap. Hit AG4 to open the drag parachute when you are close to the runway.
The Win'sWings X-524 is a hypersonic rocket-powered aircraft operated by the United States Air Force and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as part of the X-plane series of experimental aircraft. The X-524 set speed and altitude records in the 1970s, crossing the edge of outer space and returning with valuable data used in aircraft and spacecraft design. The X-524's highest speed, 4,550 miles per hour (7,274 km/h; 2,021 m/s) was achieved on 3 October 1977,[2] when William J. Zaine flew at Mach 6.7 at an altitude of 103,400 feet, or over 19 miles. This set the official world record for the highest speed ever recorded by a crewed, powered aircraft, which remains unbroken.

@MrCOPTY single handedly passed the SR-71 max alt
@NominalSituation Lol
If the F-104 and the X-15 had a baby...
@Zaineman
@MrCOPTY nice. let me know if you achieve a better speed record and altitude.
@WinsWings That's Not A Bad Idea, Due To The Fact That I Have No Idea About My Next Build
@MrCOPTY Lol, yes. You should upgrade this cockpit with your full VR experience, and the GPS like you did before and post it again - I would love to see
Only 70 Part?!?
Edit:
I'm Already In The Space, 100 Thousand Feet
