P-71A Updated

929 IssaIwan  2.8 years ago

Though seemingly identical to the original I made 2 years ago, the devil is in the details. Making the fuselage more narrow and rearranging the wings gave the plane much better high-altitude and low-speed performance. For the sake of realism I adjusted the weapon stats as well.
UPDATED LORE: Developed in the final year of the World War, the P-71A was designed to replace the uncomfortable P-65A2. Exceeding its dying predecessor in every category short of cruise speed, P-71s were built in such large quantities that within a month every American P-65 was replaced. Though the wartime service of the P-71 was short, it was decisive. After the war, many P-71 pilots joined InterPol, to which the United States was forced to consign their planes. Strangely enough, this was the only American plane model from the World War that didn’t see mainstream use by pirates. The armament consists of six .30-06 M1919 machine guns and a 20mm Hispano.
