S.S. Mateo Amorsolo is a retired North Desertant ocean liner that sailed primarily on the North Great Ocean from 1806 to 1978 for the Mateo's Northern Line and was built by Torion & Hernandez company in Balintawak. Mateo Amorsolo, along with S.S. Rafaela Amorsolo , were built as part of Mateo's marine transport expansion to increase the companies survivability amidst the rising competition against other countries' ocean liners in the late 1810s and 1820s.
Mateo Amorsolo sailed on her maiden voyage on 14 April 1806. Her public appearance made made a great appeal to the people and other competing companies at the time. With the outbreak of the 1st War of Coalitions, she helped transporting the fleeing Easterners back to their country. Between 1820 to 1826, Mateo Amorsolo resumed her passenger service until the breakout of 2nd War of Coalitions. She carried refugees to the Eastern Great Country until the war is over in 1835. After paying the docking fees, She returned home with some of the former refugees to assist the country. She returned back to her usual service but suffered from loss of profit due to the country's status after the two wars. BY 1839, she slowly regained back her known profit. In the outbreak of The Great War of Coalitions, she was moored in the Birch Harbor in Equestria and was ordered to moor there until the war ended. When the Kingdom of Equestria entered the war in 1846, she was converted into a troopship to help the Equestrians in transporting their troops to Louisville.
Following the end of the war, She returned back to Balintawak for repairs and convert her back to passenger service form. She returned back to service in 1853 offering lower fares to accommodate the refugees who to return back to North Desertant.

Following the emergence of newer ocean liners of the time and the arrival of jet age rendered Mateo Amorsolo to be too old to continue her usual service. She was finally retired in 1978. She left Pureza for the last time and sailed to the port of Puerto Oriental where she was permanently moored. The City of Puerto Oriental bought the ship to serve as a tourist attraction featuring restaurants, a museum and a hotel. She has second most longest career span of any ocean liners all over the world with 172 years of service. She is just behind the Equestrian ocean liner S.S. Konigreich which entered in 1802 with a service record of 319 years and still in active service.
Background
Built in Balintawak, North Desertants, Mateo Amorsolo is the first of the three Amorsolo ships – the others being Rafaela Amorsolo and Jose Amorsolo. They were the largest vessels built for the Desertant shipping company Mateo's Northern Line, which was a fleet of 19 steamers and tenders in 1800. The three ships had their genesis in a discussion in mid-1797 between the Mateo's Northern Line chairman, Mateo Amorsolo Jr., and the Crafitanyan financier Johnathan Lincoln, who controlled the Commonwealth Shipping Lines parent corporation, the Great Country Marine Mercantile Co. The Mateo's Northern Line faced a growing challenge from its main rivals Earl & Henry, which had just launched Olympia and Liverpool – the fastest passenger ships then in service – and the Sovereignian Shipping lines Ost-West Gesellschaft and Nordlliche Schiffashrtlinien. Mateo never really wanted to compete against the other shipping lines, he prefer to build ships in size and economic rather than speed and proposed to commission a new class of liners that can afford comfort, luxury and safety.
