Hawker Sea Hawk
Tally ho again chaps! Well it’s certainly taken a while but here’s my rendition of the venerable Hawker Sea Hawk in Suez crisis regalia. A rather spiffing filly she was too (the real bird that is not this heap!) Designed by the legendary Sydney Camm (you know, the chap who also designed the hurricane) the sea hawk was a single seat, single engines jet fighter first flown in the late 40s and was almost something that never came to fruition. After the main market (namely the RAF) showed disinterest in the type the project was saved at the 11th hour by the good ol’ fleet air arm placing an order. The sea hawk turned out to be quite a useful specimen and was exported to a various countries finally retiring in 83. I really wanted to do the vixen but SgtK has done such a good example of one and out of respect for the shear awesomeness of it, I wouldn’t attempt such a feat! Seriously, you need to check that one out! Destructions are always VTOL In the downwards position for the following: 1 for flaps (essentially a speed brake), 2 folds wings and 3 engages the arrestor hook. (disclaimer using the arrestor hook will seriously impede landing!) Although rather pleasant to fly there are some disturbing ground handling issues. To ward these demons away have the stick right back on takeoff and get airborne ASAP! Carrier landing are most definitely possible - ‘brake’ will engage speed brakes if your coming in a littlewarm and you’ve only got the one set of trousers..... Well it’s pimms o’clock for me as the sun is definitely over the yardarm (somewhere in the world at least) so I’ll let you get on without reading anymore of this drivel! T5 out.

@Tang0five If you'd like i could help you out on the canopy on any future build, i don't need credit. i just feel like the basic cockpit is bringing an otherwise beautiful aicraft down.
Yeah I find myself taking the “that will have to do” approach sometimes and my iPad struggles over 300 parts. That and building solely on my dated ‘pad means mods and other wizard tricks can’t be used. Enough of my excuses, thanks for your interest and support and I look forward to your next build! @Othawne
I Think your body shapes looks amazing but it calls for a Custom cockpit mate! Just something that's not the standard cockpit piece.
Cheers! @Mustang51
@Tang0five Nah although I think I've stabilised it a bit (more by accident than intention), I like the Seahawk (still have the airfix kit of it my dad built me as a child) and was bored so thought some mod tweaks might be nice, split flaps/dive breaks, aerials etc. Will upload shortly
@RamboJutter by all means! Was it my killer takeoff routine once again that prompted you?! :)
@Tang0five I've made a modded version of this, would you mind if I post it?
Thanks awfully old chap most kind of you to say! @Alien
Bugger my old boots, this is rather lovely, old chap. Have an upvote for your troubles. I'd spotlight too, if only i knew how.

They certainly are taking me longer these days @RamboJutter seems the .7 update was a blessing and a curse! Don’t want to think of the time you must take at your level of builds! Thanks for spotlighting old bean, most generous of you!
