KW-60B-1 Caracal II (SPSC Challenge)
The Caracal II is a greatly improved version of the earlier KW-60A Caracal, with better avionics, a modernized cockpit, higher missile load with more versatility, and enhanced flight performance. The most notable improvement however, is the addition of TVC controls, giving the aircraft great low speed maneuverability. This allows the Caracal II to preform all aerobatic maneuvers that involve a departure of flight, such as Pugachev’s cobra and the falling leaf maneuver.
Fictional date of service: 1990-current day
Nation: Krakabloan-Wright Republic
Weapons: x2 BVR missiles x4 IR missiles
Extra: Along with the TVC, the Caracal II has a landing hook, Incase of emergency on the aircraft such as a fuel leak while over open water, meaning it can land and take off again from a carrier. More commonly, the hook allows for the use of short runways with wire spanning across similarly to an aircraft carrier.
For the Challenge: I wanted TVC, but that seems like it could be too good for a dogfight against some planes, so it isn’t bound to AG7 to make sure the AI can’t use it. The only weapon not stock is the gun, since I feel that the rule of being limited to four stock wing guns is the same as saying you are limited to the equivalent fire rate, meaning the limit is a value of 28, while I only put the fire rate up to 14, since I feel having a modern jet inspired by Cold War soviet designs with two cannons on either side is kind of odd.
