Built after WW2, the Soviet Union feared that the Americans would invade, the Mig-18 was made for destroying high altitude bombers with its one 50mm cannon. To achive altitudes higher than the Mig-15, the Mig-18 sacrifices maneuverability which makes it a strict bomber hunter and an easy target for enemy planes.
