AA-2B "Spearhead"
Flight instruction:
Flight controls are as normal, no alterations to the pitch, roll or yaw axis. Optimal landing speed is around 250 kph or below. At sea level, with max afterburner, top speed is around 1350 kph. Wing flutter speed varies depending on altitude, on average around 1400 kph. The airframe is naturally unstable, the canard has a somewhat sophisticated fly-by-funky tree system to keep things in check, but an irrecoverable flatspin is still possible. Canards should not be fully deflected at speeds below 250 kph. AG1 to open canopy, AG2 to open weapons bay and arm missiles, AG3 to jettison fuel tanks.
Backstory:
During the late 1980s, the "ol' reliable" AA-1 was slowly proving insufficient in more modern air to air conflicts. The government called for the design and manufacturing of a new twin engine, lightweight, air superiority fighter. The result was Avalon Aerospace's very own AA-2. The AA-2 proved in combat to be an agile and versatile fighter, boasting high power to weight, and exceptional performance in rate fights. Its internal weapons bay carries 4 very potent missiles and its proximity fuse autocannons rapidly dispatch the bandit when things get up close and personal. The AA-2 serves until present day as the main fighter for the Avalon Republic, as well as an extremely profitable export plane.
Announcements:
Hello people, in case you're still reading, I thank you for your time. I did not expect this one to take me so long to make, but here it is, and I hope you enjoy flying it as much as I do. Still working on the lore, but for it to make sense I'll have to publish more planes, stay tuned, and thank you!

@PakPuma75 no problem :) Take a look at how it’s done on real planes. You’ll see the rear wheels are much further than often expected
@Mustang51 oh! I did not know that was how it worked, I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you!
Dude this is awesome! You made it look good and fly well. One thing I would recommend is to put the landing gear right behind the CoM. That way taking off will be both easier and feel more realistic. It will also have a much lower takeoff speed
@PakPuma75 No problem man. I decided to check back my old posts and remembered that one guy who complimented one of my planes back when i got bronze, weird how i passed you in points lol
@Korzalerke thank you! It’s pretty hard to gain publicity on this site i find, I don’t really mind tho, as long as I have a place to upload my stuff
Cool plane man, i have no idea how you're still bronze.
