F-4 phantom
*why we choose this plane
You may be wondering...
“why did you choose such a old piece of American aviation history”
“Why the F-4. Isn’t that a fighter Interceptor?”
”y not make something new instead of copying some one else’s work” ( plane design )
And you’re right. We at Eagle Tech believe the F-4 was more than a fighter but a attacker bomber at heart.
Unlike bombers of its era the f-4 was capable of going above Mach 2. Something bombers were not able too do at the time. bombers near the end of ww2 were still being used in nam, but jet bombers like the b-52 Had no defense or offense against fighters. The F-4 could carry 18 1000 lb bombs with 2: 3 bomb racks, and 2: 6 bomb racks. This was more explosive mass than a b-17 could carry. The phantom wasn’t so good at dogfighting due to its size and weigh. The smaller migs could dance around them. As advance as the phantoms were they were still no match for a experience mig pilot. So we (Eagle Tech) decided to restore the phantom series but to be purposed as small bombers or attacker bombers. And it saves money for the government to repurpose old tech to get every bit of use out of it.
