The Socrux S.A-290 Acauã (Laughing Falcon) is a twin-engine, twin-seater counter-insurgency/close air support aircraft designed with an emphasis on payload capacity. Its large wings give it near-STOL capabilities when it's in a clean configuration, but when fully armed it is a heavy aircraft that can be clunky to maneuver. Regardless, its resilience and heavy payload capacity have earned it a solid reputation in the export market.
It is armed with four .50 caliber M3 machineguns and typically carries two gunpods with M134 7.62mm gatling guns. In its presented configuration, it is carrying one UB-21/T fuel tank/rocket pod in the centreline, plus two 7-shot rocket pods and no less than six UB-21 rocket pods - for a total of 161 70mm rockets. It also carries four 250 lb bombs and four short-range AAMs for self-defense.
Thanks to its strong structure, armor around the cockpit and its decent countermeasure suite, the aircraft has proven to be highly survivable in the low-threat environments its was designed to operate in. An amphibious variant for operation in areas where access is difficult was also developed as the S.A-290H.

@FlyingHueman I think any cockpits work really well. I’m just terrible at making them so I never add them
@Mustang51 I feel your pain, I'm trying to do aircraft with simple cockpits as of lately and changing to that has been... interesting. Dunno if I'll stick to it as it consumes a lot of time (and parts), lol.
@FlyingHueman I have one that I should hopefully finish soon. I accidentally started 3 new planes that I’m trying to finish roughly at the same time. Worst of all is that they are of a style I have never tried before! Hahaha. Tag me in your builds so I see them when they come out
@Mustang51 Thanks a lot! I should have a "I can't believe it's not a Tucano" coming out on a few days, if you're interested in COIN birds. It's one of my most recent ones though, so it's pretty far down the list.
This is very very cool! I love these COIN/CAS aircraft. You make fantastic planes buddy!
