Fairey Goshawk FN.1

840 InfiniteChimp  6.9 years ago

The Fairey Goshawk was a single seat, single engine air superiority fighter aircraft built for the Royal Navy in the late-1950s. While the RAF's English Electric Lightning interceptor of the time emphasised high speed at all costs, the Goshawk was built for endurance in a dogfight, carrying a reasonably heavy payload on 6 external hard points. As such, it also proved capable in the ground attack and CAS roles.
