Tri-Jet Challenge (Closed!!!)
This Challenge closes at: 2/1/2020 (46 days after post)
Hello!
Yes, its only been 1.2 years sense my last challenge, the OGs will remember the "Cargo plane challenge" but I just realized with a new PC and 1.8 years of experience I could make a much better challenge. This challenge is not to get me "free" points but simply for fun.
Rules (Read Carfuly)
- You have to make a TriJet, Definition:['trijet]
NOUN
an aircraft having three jet engines. - You can make a Tri-Jet from any time period.
- No mods, but XML is allowed.
- You can make fictional, but make it look realistic. (Ex: space cargo planes are not allowed, lol).
- The plane must have 3 Jets, yes, that's what this challenge is.
- All entry's must be a successor, for ease of judging.
- Size of the aircraft does not matter, you can make a privet jet or a UPS cargo plane, both will be judged equally.
- Max part count is 800 but try to keep it as low as possible.
- No Fighter jets of any kind (must not be armed)
- No Reposting in any way (past airplanes)
- 1 entry
Judging
Ok, the 'fun' part!
Looks ----------------------------------------------------------------- 0/10
Flight characteristics (fly's the way its supposed to) - 0/15
Effort (Trust me I know) ---------------------------------------- 0/5
Good Replica (bonus points for making one) ----------- 0/5
Detail (ex; Landing gear, flaps, or lights) ----------------- 0/10
Followed all rules -------------------------------------------------- 0/5

Total ------------------------------------------------------------------- 0/50
Read Before You Ask
yes, Replicas can get a extra 5 points if they are done decently because fictional aircraft can be what ever you want so I push strongly for replicas.
Yes, it needs to have 3 Jets that can be clearly seen and identified as a tri-jet
No, weapons cant be used. You can make a behind the lines combat aircraft like a recon plane or spy plane. AEW&C can be made. But most of these don’t actually exist in the real word so it won’t be a replica (if you find one that’s real I’ll allow it). The best combat tri-jet I know of is a refueling plane.
Yes, XML is allowed because its not a mod and it helps people keep part counts down, which helps everyone, including my PC.
Yes, it has to be a successor, you can download this post, and just start building, no need to select 'new aircraft'.

Oh ok cool! @Squidge
Done
O I have a dc10!
The babazon isn't for the challenge it's for you
After research I found that aircraft is not a tri-jet. @Squidge
@ACEPILOT109 o k I'll work on a Bristol babazon
End of this month. @Squidge
@ACEPILOT109 how long?
@asteroidbook345 I extended the time. good luck
Like the one on the picture?
Does a tri noted count.?
@asteroidbook345 oh yeah, that works
@asteroidbook345 but it would have 4 jets...
Not sure what you mean. @11qazxc
Is it possible to put two main engines and one additional engine on the plane, or should all three be main engines?
@DerpyCookie17 yeah, as long as there is o thrust.
and yeah i know about the Ju-87. pretty cool idea but it would actuly go off in normal flight lol.
‘Kay, after months of being dead I’m back and so of course the first thing I do is come compete in a challenge centered around replica’s. Yeah....no. I’m doing something similar to the U-2. Maybe. One question. If I set the power multiplier to 0, then can I use a prop engine for additional decoration? For example like he JU-87 had its sort of “alarm” when it was diving from (I think) the small props on the landing gear
wel i tryed to make a trijet plane but here it is https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/I1kccu/Private-Trijet-Trijet-challenge
i know i will lose but i made it
@Homemade I would recommend it, detail matters alot
Oooh, lol ok I was confused forgot x-plane had that @ndfr623
@ACEPILOT109 mean that I made up the plane in SP and then made (kinda) a recreation of it for the X-Plane flight simulator. It's quite a bit more challenging.
I don’t understand @ndfr623
Cool! I have just the thing >:)
I'm actually making the same aircraft in X-Plane but that's a wee bit harder lol
@DerekSP good luck mate
