GA-54 Ocelot

OVERALL

The GA-54 was designed by ZZ Arsenals in 1971 after seeing the effectiveness of the OV-10 Bronco in Vietnam. Powered by two 2000hp engines it had outstanding acceleration and could reach 268mph in level flight. With good armour and good survivability it can carry many weapons including a C8A4 37mm gun in the nose. It had a default load out of 36 MSHD rockets in special pods and two type 3 guided missiles. It also has two type 34 short range anti-air missiles

Strategy
The GA-54 is used in wolf-packs with 2 formations of 3 aircraft lined up in arrowhead formation. They break of and attack their assigned targets. Normally they have air cover of 2 or 3 CI-17s because they are relatively vulnerable to air attacks from enemy aircraft. It should be flying at about 1000-15000ft for ground attack operations and 15000- 25000ft for light attack and observation.

Armament
The GA-54 armament was only limited by the weapons of it’s time. It used SAPHE (semi-armor piercing high-explosive) on its 37mm gun. For the anti-helicopter role it can carry 6 type 34 air to missiles. If the anti-tank role is what is needed it can carry 6 type 3 missiles. It is currently carrying it’s default load-out.
