Yellowstone Object 102/Wright Air Races challenge (scrapped)

Unrestricted number of entries. It's not a fair competition if I limit it.

The Yellowstone object 102 is an air-racer aircraft that participated from the Ferdinand Magellan aerial circumnavigation race of 1935. The Wright Air Race is actually a challenge that is embedded with the aircraft. The use of the Yellowstone object 102 is somewhat mandatory, any other aircraff with engines from 300-500 hp and is of interwar build is acceptable. (Challenge ends July 30).

The Aircraft

The aircraft shown is the Yellowstone object 102 with a maximum speed of more than 413 km/h TAS at medium-level altitudes. It is powered by the Imperial English Gyrfalcon engines of 360 hp, and has a cockpit to grab if you want to.

The Challenge

The challenge has been scrapped.

The challenge is centered on endurance and range of the design.
You are going to modify the aircraft (the one being pictured) with your own will, but there are parts that cannot be modified and considered as necessary.
The areas painted in green are available for modification, the red ones should not be touched.

There are also engine choices to pick from.

Mission

Make a plane that can fly from Wright to Avalanche, and from Avalanche to Wright without having exhausted fuel or craft breakdowns.
The overall range will be initially computed with a certain code, and the craft will be scored by its performance.

Winner will be spotlighted, multi-upvoted (how?!) and procured.
Participating aircraft will be upvoted. No DQs. Just deductions.

Other aircraft

You may not use the aircraft though, you can use your own aircraft, but there would be a building criteria:
* It should be of late 1920s or 1930s design
* Could be a biplane or a monoplane
* Could be of any operational role
* No mods except Overload and Fine Tuner
* Fuselage wings should has a mass scale of zero
* Maximum performance cost is 2320.
* Should use any aircraft engine designed from 1924-1932, and rated about 300-700 horsepower.
* Prop should be two-four blades.
* Must be a taildragger.
* VR-capable cockpits are anticipated. We're tired of no detailed cockpits. However it is still your choice, you'll miss extra points.

Any aircraft caught breaking the rules will result in a deduction and will be redesigned by me.
