IL96-300PU (SFD ROSSIYA, aircraft of Russian president V.V.Putin)
IL-96 - passenger wide-body aircraft to airlines' medium and large extent, designed in Ilyushin Design Bureau in the late 1980s. He made the first flight in 1988, commercially available since 1993 in the factory of the Voronezh Aircraft Manufacturing Company. IL-96 was the first Soviet long-haul wide-body aircraft.
Special version of the Il-96-300, designed for transportation of the Russian president. IL-96-300PU ( "control point") was built in four copies. Differences on flight performance from the basic version had virtually no other than increased range due to some improvements. The aircraft installed equipment to maintain control of the armed forces in the event of a nuclear conflict. Externally plane also has no difference from the base case, except for the characteristic of the trough at the top of the fuselage. The first aircraft of this version was assembled in 1995 to Boris Yeltsin. The second, "Putin", Il-96 flew on April 21, 2003. Third, first flew in August 2012. The fourth - in August of 2013.
