[PEA] Sukhoi Su-25
Part-Efficient Aircrafts~!!
Rook(Grach) fans where you at!!!
in my honest opinion, of the two rivals, i find the Su-25 the more attractive and cooler-looking one, don't get me wrong, the A-10 is ICONIC af but.. in my heart, i just love the Su-25 much more, is it the wings? the airbrakes? the sharp nose? who knows, i don't know why either, but it's just so... cute, beautiful, and graceful, if not, then menacing, Grach ftw.
The Sukhoi Su-25 Grach (Russian: ???? (rook); NATO reporting name: Frogfoot) is a subsonic, single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft developed in the Soviet Union by Sukhoi. It was designed to provide close air support for Soviet Ground Forces. The first prototype made its maiden flight on 22 February 1975. After testing, the aircraft went into series production in 1978 in Tbilisi in the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic.
[ Controls ]
- Standard Aircraft Controls
- VTOL : Flaps
- AG1 : Drag Chute
[ Guidelines ]
[ Taxiing ]
- 1-2% Power, Yaw to turn
[ Takeoff ]
- Flaps Half-down, Full throttle, takeoff when speed reaches 180km/h(111mph)
[ Flight ]
- Standard Aircraft Controls, decent maneuverability.
[ Landing ]
- Flaps Full-down, adjust speed between 200-300km/h(124-186mph); when touched down, stabilize aircraft direction first THEN deploy drag chute.
[ Armaments ]
- 1x GSH-30-2 30x165mm Autocannon, 250rnds, 870m/s(2854ft/s)
- 2x KH-29L Air-to-Ground Missile, 10km(6.21mil), Mach 0.8(272m/s, 893ft/s)
- 4x S-25O 266mm Rocket
- 2x B-8M1 Rocket Pods w. 20 80mm S-8KO Rockets(21 rockets in-game due to part-saving)
- 2x R-60M Air-to-Air Missile, 6km(3.72mil), Mach 2.43(830m/s, 2,713ft/s)
[ Notes ]
- I'd say one of the better looking aircrafts I've made, and with it being only 61 parts clean? poggers parts-to-vibe ratio
- GSH-30-2 has an internal disruptor so it actually kinda spreads out like an MG, still failed Convoy Gun-only Run though...
[ Credits ]
- @Thecatbaron for the G-Limiter, works alright, though i could probably use better ones
Free to use!
if ya want to make an airbase, or maybe make an airwing for a carrier, or maybe to help battleships lead their shells, you can add and use any of my planes (unless you claim them as your own creation, i will damp your pillows if you do.)
Want More Part-Efficient Aircrafts?
come along come along! we(yes, we.) have a lot of low part, simple, and realistic performing aircrafts for all to use and fight against! light performance cost and AI-spawnable, there's no reason not to! we have the little beloved Fuchs, the graceful Muromets, the Holy Mi-26, and... a lot of obscure aircrafts are available!!
P.S. I'm somewhat closing Community PEA submissions(for now), and I've read some of some feedbacks, i take notice of in particular of course, the lack of quality, especially people mislabelling low-part as "PEA"(yes, miss lunar, i do regret it), and i suppose the lot of it is because they dont know HOW to save part, i don't blame them, but when i get the time, i hope to create a tutorial on how to save part, since I have quite some that i want to share, anyway, toos, and see you later when i get around again, chii-se ( = w = )

@Cerdd hi
It exists, amazing
Welcome back
@Boeing727200F maybe because they were so trash
@ZeroWithSlashedO lets go rook n' roll >:3
@Monarchii
yeaaa!!!
I love el grach
@ZeroWithSlashedO glad you like it lmao, rook do be rooking
grach!!!!!!

@Randomplayer helo
hi
@RealMicroZackSP didn't know you was chill like that ey
@Monarchii 🤙
@RealMicroZackSP E Y Y Y Y
@Monarchii
! e y
sure
@Boeing727200F noted, if so, then I'll probably only do the A, B, and C variant, that good with ya?
@Monarchii I just found out, either the engine cowling was changed, or it got new engines, or both. but besides that I'm guessing the B-17D was moreover a quality of life change
@Monarchii I honestly don't know, I just know the D model was the last early model. the D model might just be an upgrade
@Boeing727200F honestly I'll probably plan out a good bit, I've got some of the necessary blueprints(from the A to the D variant), what I'm curious though, what is the exact difference between the B-17C and B-17D? since I feel like they look similar in blueprints, the A got the unique nose, the B got her nose changed but still retained the blister from the A variant, the C changed the blisters to oval windows and bathtub bottom gunner, but I'm very uncertain about the D variant, care to elaborate if you know anything about it?
@Monarchii forgotten models of famous aircraft need to have some light shined on them
In the case of the early B-17s even war thunder doesn’t know they exist. That is how forgotten they are
@Boeing727200F honestly I just like rarer or less-known(or less-built) stuff more than something that is common, it's just.. something I feel like that is weird about me, nevertheless, bringing rare stuffs is kinda my thing around here I suppose, so let's see how the B-17s will turn out if I ever get around it
@Monarchii I’m begging to many people to make early B-17s. Not a single one has responded or made one. Until now
@Boeing727200F hm.. I'll consider it one of my future projects, no promises, but someday :3
