ABOUT THE ROBOTS

In 2025, these Yangge dance robots appeared on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala stage in a show called "Yang BOT." 16 robots performed alongside 16 dancers from the Xinjiang Arts Institute. The robots, called Unitree H1, are the world's first full-sized electric humanoid robots capable of doing flips in place. To highlight their mechanical feel, they were designed with an exposed skeleton, looking a bit like a skeleton without skin. Dressed in floral jackets and waving red handkerchiefs, they danced the Yangge on stage, looking lively and funny
