Phoenix Industries Project 8123-02
Project 8123 was originally intended to contend with planes like Fenris Air Factory's XS series, with advanced design and above average speed. Unfortunately, it is somewhat lacking in the maneuverability department, as the numerous optimizations for high-speed flight such as miniscule wing lift and limited tail surface authority take away from maneuverability.
However, unlike the XS series, it, at least in narrative, (doing it in practice is a bit harder) allows great flexibility in it's weapons load. Featuring the LAAM (Long-range Air-to-Air Missile) for long range engagements, the MSTM (Multiple STandard Missile) for saturation attacks, and QAAM (Quick maneuver Air-to-Air Missile) for targets with exceptional maneuverability.
Last but not least, Project 8123 comes armed with a pair of Model 014 Revolver Cannons, which output a blistering 9000 rounds per minute each. It comes armed with explosive shells, more suited for soft ground targets and, as rare as it is, aircraft. Ships, tanks and other heavy targets are better left for flanking attackers to clean up.
(It does still shred tanks and boats, don't let narrative limit it's in-game potential)
This is the second variation of this Project, due to the research facilities of the previous model being bombed, this is the only model to enter production. It is expected to have a production run of around 500 Aircraft, not including licensing and outsourcing.
(The real story is that I somehow saved this plane over the 01 model while fine tuning each one, therefore losing that design.)
One also might note it's similarities with Project 8117 . The origin of this plane's conception came long after 8117 was retired; it was a distant memory. The basis for this aircraft was based on the by then corrupted, aged data files of Project 8117. What was recovered was compiled into this aircraft, probably 125 years later.
It replaced much of 8117's older technologies with newer ones, with laser cannons being replaced with far more effective revolver cannons, it's twin turbofans replaced with AVPE-036 Plasma engines, The cockpit switched out with the now standard cockpit design, and missiles becoming cheaper and more adaptable.
Long gone was the concept of camouflage, as advanced IFFs and radars made the whole purpose of camouflage pointless. (I got bored of blank, grey planes.) Now, nations adorn their planes with bright colors to advertise their beautifully efficient killing machines.
(Negative spaces in the wings was also a trend)
Whoa, that was a wall of text
I tried some new things here, but also brought back many of my technologies, such as weapons bays, and 8117's distinctive shape. I had lots of fun, and I plan on using this plane in my Multiplayer endeavors for a long time.
Enjoy!

VTOL down: Flaps
AG5: Taxi mode
AG6:Open all weapons bays
Weapons bays are automatic

Pitch: forward-Backward
Roll: steering
Note: on further research (and an AC7 playthrough) it turns out that the LAAM missiles behave more like the XLAA from prior games. I would correct this but it would result in a double post and I want to avoid that as much as possible.

@Kimfri thank you! I'm not sure the aesthetic of Wipeout cause I've never played it, but I have heard good reviews
cool design!, kind of reminds me of wipout 2097. im upvoting lots of your builds, you'll get to gold soon!
