-Nothing special
Designed by the famous boat-builders in late 1943, the BV P.676.01 was the first of its kind. Instead of using traditional ailerons, the entire wing section pivets side-to-side, allowing the airplane to roll slightly better and cause less drag. The first prototype took flight on August 17, after over a year over building and acquiring funds. The aircraft proved the success of the concept. Eventually, two more prototypes were ready by March of 1945, but they were destroyed when the warehouse was bombed. The final aircraft was transferred to a more secure location, where it remained until February of 2009.
