B1-PN-A Prototype Fighter

First in my new line of B1-PN fighters, the prototype A-model!

I’m sorry that the new lever doesn’t show up in VR!

In 2397 G.T., the Krakabloan Air Defense Command, with the newly declared war with the Wright Isles, made a preemptive requirement for a new, high-spec, multi role fighter aircraft. The winning design, Imperial Aircraft Works’ B1-PN-A fighter, would later go on to save the entire war for the Krakabloans.

Being the first model in the series, it wasn’t too impressive with its top speed at low altitude of 215 mph, but Imperial accurately predicted that its performance could be improved. As with all later models, it featured a removable set of .303 caliber machine guns mounted in the wing roots and a similar wing and strut design. As the first design, it only had a skid on the tail and limited range, warranting only 12 to be produced.

Overall, it proved a versatile and promising design that later evolved into one of the, if not the most famous aircraft of the war.
