Main Description

The Mk.VII MBT NG-V1 is a next generation MBT that was vastly upgraded from the outdated H3/H4 heavy tank variants. It is the only next generation MBT designed by Poland as of 2024.

History

As the cold war ended, it was upon realized by the Poland Army that they needed better and superior tanks compared to their outdated and less feasible heavy tank MBTs to use later on as decades go by, so the Mk.VII MBT NG-V1 was designed as an upgrade for the MK.VI MBT H3-J2 Swallow. It was accepted and production and development has started for the new tank to be produced.
After testing was complete in the mid 2000s, it entered service in 2010, it is still in service today.
