this is the sempson s1 bomber for the ww1 challenge
history
The sempson s1 is a ww1 era bomber that saw little to no active combat service, but was regarded as a technological hero for the allied war effort. The bomber was one of the first bombers designed and used during the first world war of this scale. Its 6 engines get this to a speed of around 240mph. Its success was short lived when it went for its first test flights and showed how nose heavy it was, and how in bearable for the pilots to handle and suffered many crashes. It though was still used in combat, it was thought of as to important and advanced that it was worth the likelihood of crashes. In terms of defense, this aircraft was armed with 1 rifle that the bombardier operated out the back. As you may imagine it was hard to use as it had no holder, the bombardier had to hold it, meaning it was not effective against attacks and often was shot down. The plane was only produced from early 1918 to the end of 1919, with only 1,000 being produced. Its relatively short production run, and very mild success in combat, made this one of the worst bombers produced during ww1. Through its 5 years of active service, only 200 planes survived, many in landing accidents and being shot down by enemy fighters and personnel.

(I was thinking of making the exhaust pipes have "exhaust" but for some reason my potato was starting to lag out sometimes, especially during takeoff and when I fast forwarded. It might be because of the engines but I don't know. And yes I decreased drag alot ( last I checked it was near 4000, compared to the near 30,000 it was at before and that was just with the basic fuselage and wings)

she flys the way she looks (thats a good thing) so its heavy, sluggish, and flys badly, but thats how it is supposed to fly so its good!
