This was the very first design of Messerschmitts Me-262, though the airframe was ready before the engines so to tests it's performace a 700 hp Jumo engine was mounted in the nose, on it's flight test the aircraft did take-off but the engine overheated as soon as it left the ground, though it showed that the Me-262 was a viable design

Make smaller planes. You keep falling into the trap of making long thin planes with long thin wings. It's not necessarily a bad thing but using your building skill to make smaller more detailed planes would probably push you over to platinum.
