The SR-76 (Space Rocket) was a USAF (United States Air Force) project to create a spacecraft that also operated in low Earth atmosphere. Lockheed-Marrtin and Boeing teamed up to create the craft. In 2345, the XSR-76 ("X" standing for "Experimental") had its maiden flight. Three years later, the production aircraft, now the SR-76, went into service. It's armament was: six .50 caliber machine guns, eight AMG-22 ATG missiles, two rocket pods, two 750 lbs. bombs, and two AMG-24 ATA missiles. Powered by six Boeing BX-220 engines and one Lockheed LHMX-33351 engine, this aircraft had a tremendous top speed while flying in low orbit.
