Yes, the Simple Modular Armoured Combat Vehicle. Or the Smac-v, as the boffins at Porton Down called it. A small (well, 41,000 lbs in Air Defense Configuration) affordable, simple, tough armoured vehicle that has the capability to fulfill several roles, thanks to the turret system that can be field swapped in 20 minutes, with the right gear, and standardised software / hardware interfaces that allow for rapid re co figuration of the control systems.

This chassis can carry out scouting, ISTAR and SIGINT, air defense (with close in - and long range capability) and tank killing duties. It can provide heavy fire support and can even mount an L118 105mm Light Artillery piece.

The top speed on road is approximately 90 mph, off road 80 mph but for safety reasons it is not permitted to exceed 60mph in any terrain.

Is ADS Config, the crew is two; one driver / systems tech and obe weapons officer / systems tech. The ADS turret contains extensive automation to simplify operation and reduce crew requirements.

The weapons systems include a quad mount of four Royal Enfield G40AA62 40mm autocannon in a high angle mount and a single BAe Systems GMAA100 Ballista recoilless mag gun firing self propelled guided STARSTREAK SGM rounds. These rounds are ejected at high speed, then deploy guiding fins, ignite their rocket motor and then actively hunt their target in a manner similar to conventional SAMs. There is a magazine of five rounds installed.

Controls!

AG1 - throttle to 100 - deploys stabilising feet. Firing the autocannons without these deployed will throw the vehicle around somewhat.

AG2 - running lights

AG3 - activate radar guidance systems for the Ballista. Trim up to unlock radar array and set her spinning.

Vtol up to open throttle, yaw to steer.
Pitch and roll to operate turret.
Cam 1 is drivers position.
Cam 2 is gunnery optics.
